Everyone gets depressed by the end of summer. There’s nothing fun about the weather getting colder, the days getting shorter, and the thought of winter on the horizon. But summer can’t last forever, and we will have to pack up the outdoor pool noodles for another year sooner or later. But there are plenty of things to look forward to when the temperature starts to dip. Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and there is no reason why you can’t enjoy it to the fullest!
Here are 7 reasons to absolutely LOVE the fall:
1.Bonfires. True, you can have a bonfire in the summer as well, but there is definitely something about the scent of smoke wafting through the crisp air. Keeping warm by the campfire with a bunch of your closest friends and family is an excellent way of celebrating the season!
2.Gorgeous Colours. Who doesn’t like seeing the change in the leaves every year? The spectacle of the changing seasons is enough to get even the most hardened of autumn-tide skeptics smiling.
3.Long Sweaters. Both men and women can’t deny that fall fashion is superior to all other seasonal fashions. Time to break out those long sweaters, toques, and scarves!
4.Halloween and Thanksgiving. These two holidays can be great for different reasons: Halloween is a lot of fun for all ages and Thanksgiving is the best time to dig into some delicious goodies with the whole family! Need we say more?
5.It’s a Time to Reset. The summer can feel like an endless train of “Go, go, go”, but fall affords us a little time to take a breath and hibernate. Just make sure you don’t hibernate too much (you’ll have plenty more time for that in the winter).
6. That Crisp, Fall Scent. When you go outside in the morning and get a whiff of the delicious hint of frost - It might just be heavenly!
7.Pumpkins, Pies, and Chestnuts. For some reason, baked goods are at their prime during the fall season. A piece of pumpkin pie is only really appropriate when the weather starts getting colder. Raise a glass of cider and enjoy! Making the most of each season is important all year round. Be sure that you are able to enjoy the fall to its fullest this year!
